Equipment Used During Investigations
While this is not a complete list of all the tools we have, it is a general overview of those things that we take to each investigation.
Mel 8704-R

This device is used to detect what is known as the electromagnetic field and is common in most paranormal investigations in one form or another. One of the most important features of this device is the fact that it can simultaneously measure "cold spots" and EMF fluctuations at the same time. This results in rapid assessment of anything coming across the screen while an investigator is looking at it.
K2 Deluxe EMF Meter

The K2 Deluxe is a device that we enjoy using for a different approach to investigation and much like TAPS, we prefer to use it for communication attempts only as it is less accurate than the MEL 8704R which provides a digital readout along with temperature.
Mastercool MSC52224A Infrared Thermometer

This device is used for "point and shoot" temperature verification during investigations.
Nikon D-5000

This camera is primarily used on a tripod with a 30 second shutter speed during investigations. Other aspects such as F-Stop and ISO can be altered as well. While we primarily will use "point and shoot" this camera yields wonderful photos that prove useful in one way or another.
Sony ICD-PX720/820

This device is our primary method at this point for obtaining EVP during investigations. Thus far it has given us great results with wonderful clarity.
Swann Alpha D02C5 SWA43-D2C5 4 Channel H.264 DVR and 4 CCD Weather Resistant Cameras

This is one of our primary tools that goes on each investigation. We locate cameras in strategic locations of suspected activity and hope to catch apparitions or any other type of paranormal activity.
Sony Handycam HDR-HC3

In choosing our secondary camcorder the choice was difficult at best. For this reason, we went with the model shown here as it offered features that we most important.
Sony HandyCam HDR-XR500

In making the selection for a primary camcorder there were many options to weigh. It had to have IR capability and above all the ability to film in HD. This one proved (and has proven) to be a great selection to add to our bag of tools.
