The Gonzales Courthouse: Gonzales, TX
The Gonzales Courthouse is believed to be haunted by a spirit named Albert Howard who was hanged on March 18, 1921. It is said that he had muttered a curse that the clocks on the courthouse would never work right after he was hung as proof of his innocence. What is most unique about this is that the clocks on the tower kept time perfectly for the six months that they had spent at another location. However, once they were placed in the clock tower, each one of the clocks keeps a time that is different from the clock that is right next to it. After careful calibration experts are still unable to explain what is wrong with the clocks in the bell tower.
After investigating the courthouse it was clear that there is more than just one spirit there making its presence known. Below, some of the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) that was captured during an investigation is presented. To allow for faster load time, the traditional one-minute presentation has not been applied to these EVP's. It will however be applied to those that you find on this site in the future.

This EVP was captured during an investigation of the third floor courtroom. It is rumored that an apparition would appear on the upstairs balcony and stare at people. This apparition has been seen numerous times and for this reason it was felt that after being "nice" a little provoking might offer. Give a listen and see what you think of the direct response.
This EVP was captured outside of the Jury Room door during investigation. While we were unable to understand what was being said, it is clear that a discussion was going on behind that door. During the course of the investigation a "cold spot" was detected in this area and confirmed on the MEL Meter.
This EVP was taken while sitting the Judge's Chair in the courtroom and was accompanied both times by spikes in EMF as well as a chill on my left arm during the "Hang em' " statement that was made.
This EVP was caught while sitting outside of the famous door in the basement that was once covered with a mysterious red fluid. What is interesting about this is that it covered both the door and wall in this area so why not sit down right in front of it? During the course of this EVP my Mel Meter moved while it was leaning against the door and you will hear that question asked. It is of course followed by a response. EVP can be heard both before the movement of the Mel and after.
This final EVP was taken in the courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse. Another investigator was trying to establish contact with a known spirit in the room who is known for moving flashlights around the table. Although we were not able to capture much activity on the K2, this was a direct response to a statement and was well worth putting on this website.
